I’m _________ in the rain

If you answered washing my truck – you would be absolutely correct.

I was lucky the other night to catch a rare glimpse at an endangered species: the stupid person. (Yes there should be plenty of sarcasm surrounding this thought and any additional text that follows this.)

On this night the creature decided it was time to make his mode of transportation prettier and shinier than it was. At about 11 o’clock in pouring rain, there would be no better time in the history of the world to wash his truck. I sat at the red light watching in wonder trying to understand the thought process behind that action. I came up with nothing. I still can’t come up with anything. To paint a better picture I should point out that he was hosing off the soap suds with a garden hose; in the pouring rain.

In the light of the following day I couldn’t help but to drive by there again and take a look at the masterpiece less than 24 hours after its creation. Despite having Mother Nature to lend a hand, he still missed a spot.

Actually, it makes more sense to wash your vehicle in the rain than on a sunny day. With the rain, you won't get soap drying on your paint before you can hose it off. The trick is to use an automotive soap that won't leave water spots. Whenever you do wash your vehicle, don't use dish soap. It's designed to get rid of grease and will do a fine job of removing the wax that's on your car.

I still don't think I'll be trying that out anytime soon. But thanks for the dish soap tip.

As for Monkey - I don’t usually inject the sarcasm tone unless I really mean it. And that blog was bursting at the seams with it. Hence why I mentioned it in the beginning. I know mosquitoes have a better chance of becoming extinct.
