Belated Post- But, I couldn't forget my "Secret Santa"!
I am embarrassed to admit- but life and lack of time got in the way of reporting when our Secret Santa struck again, and surprised my son and I with another gift of kindness.
Secret Santa, you ask?
Why, yes. I called "her" my Secret Santa because of the generous gift she had delivered to our son back in December, just before Christmas. You can read about that adventure HERE. Much to my surprise, the same young woman showed up unexpectedly at my door shortly after groundhog day, announcing she was a bit late but that it was a groundhog day surprise.
A groundhog day surprise! I love it!! And, of course, what child doesn't love that!?!?!
My special needs sons' Santa once again chose the perfect gift for him. It was these Tadoodles First Washable Markers, which I had been intrigued to see because I had never seen them before. What is particularly great about them is that they take a different grasp to hold than a traditional marker. Obviously someone is taking into account my son's limited grasping abilities, and is putting a lot of thought into their choices. A little bit of hand-over-hand, and he has been enjoying making pictures for Mommy's fridge.
No, I still don't know who is behind both of these surprises, and I'm still dying to know, but I didn't ask. Frankly, I love the surprise and the wonder of not knowing. And wondering who is smart enough to choose such fun and appropriate things for him. It really makes me want to adopt my own person to surprise!
So, I pass this along to my delivery "elf" - once again- please say THANK YOU to Santa for Cameron and I !!!
