Look Good Feel Better workshops are held at Moncton City hospital on the last Wednesday of each month from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. They are free two hour workshop with certified volunteers to help women battling cancer look good and feel better about themselves. 101 Moncton Air Cadets will hold a yard sale on May 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the Byron Dobson Arena in Riverview. Proceeds will help support cadet activities. The yard sale will be held rain or shine, as it will be held indoors.

The Southeastern branch new brunswick Genealogical Society will hold their Annual General Meeting on May 10 at 2 p.m. at St. John the baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge Avenue, riverview. Guest speaker will be Mary-ellen badeau, Archivist in Cartographic records at the Provincial Archives of new brunswick. her topic will be “using historical Maps for Genealogical Purposes.” All are welcome to learn more about this fascinating avenue of research.

To celebrate international Museum day (May 18), the Musée acadien de l’université de Moncton will host Parks Canada archaeologist Charles burk for a public lecture entitled “Commemorating beaubassin: Public Archaeology in the Village beneath the Ground”. the lecture will be held in english on May 15 at 7 p.m. in the Clement-Cormier building, located on the Moncton Campus.
