The Discovering the Total Self series will host seven powerfully liberating life-changing courses from Oct. 21 to the beginning of December at Edith Cavell School at 125 Park St. in Moncton. On Friday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m., clarinetist Wesley Ferreira will present an evening concert that promises to be varied and exciting. Ferreira will be joined on stage in Mount Allison's Brunton Auditorium by colleagues Michel Deschênes (percussion), Copper Ferreira (clarinet), Monette Gould (soprano), Lynn Johnson (piano), David Rogosin (piano), Stephen Runge (piano), and leading Maritime flautist Karin Aurell. Transitional and supportive housing for homeless women or those at risk will be the focus, when the Greater Moncton Homelessness Steering Committee (GMHSC) hosts a luncheon to celebrate National Affordable Housing Day on Friday, Nov. 20. The guest speaker will be Wanda Hill, YWCA Housing Manager of the Women in Supportive Housing (WISH) project in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The event will begin at 11:30 on Friday, Nov. 20. There is no charge, although participants are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food, warm scarves, hats, mittens and/or a financial donation to a GMHSC member agency of their choice.
