Innovative book club at the Moncton Library

The Moncton Public Library is starting a Mother and Daughter Book Club for girls in Grades 4 to 7 and their mothers.

The first meeting of this new book club will be held on May 1, at 6:30 p.m. at the library.

At this meeting, participants will discuss the book "Walk Two Moons" by Sharon Creech. Winner of the esteemed Newberry Award, "Walk Two Moons" has been described as "a book packed with humor and affection that is an odyssey of unexpected twists and surprising conclusions."

To register for the Mother and Daughter Book Club and reserve a copy of the book, call 869-6036 or visit the library at 644 Main Street.

Open hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
