Katie Miller is the valedictorian at Riverview High School.

Confident

2. If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

First I would pay for my education, including Medical School, and then I would head south for a vacation. I'd invest the rest and make some interest off of it.

3. Where were you born?

I was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

4. What was your favourite subject in high school?

I loved Biology (and Canadian Literature),

5. What was your least favourite subject in high school?

I wasn't a huge fan of Physics.

6. What do you want to be when you grow up?

I want to be a doctor/surgeon or a geneticist.

7. Do you read your horoscope?

I really don't look for it everyday but if I happened to pass by it in a magazine I'll read it.

8. What's the most daring thing you've ever done?

When I was 10 years old my family went to Florida and visited Blizzard Beach Water Park. I went down this slide that was straight down and twice the Kamikaze at Magic Mountain. It was terrifying but daring because I actually did it.

9. What's your favourite television show?

I love Grey's Anatomy (don't we all?).

10. What's your favourite season of the year?

Summer.

11. What are your hobbies?

I love sports, movies, hanging with friends, and reading.

12. If you could plan a vacation anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I'd like to go to China, or to plan a cruise along the Caribbean Islands (hot weather please!)

13. If you could have lunch with any person in the world (living or dead), who would you choose and where would you eat?

I'd have lunch with Tom Thompson (a famous Canadian painter who drowned mysteriously in Canoe Lake). I'd ask him what really happened that day. We'd probably head to the Per Se Gourmet Restaurant in New York to eat.

14. What's the best thing about living in Riverview?

It's a small town, so it's never really far to get to a friend's house.

15. Where's the furthest you've ever traveled?

I've been to the Caribbean and the furthest I've been is Jamaica.

16. What is your proudest accomplishment?

I am proud to have the opportunity to represent my Grad class as the Valedictorian this year.

17. Who is your role model?

I think that realistically everyone you meet is a role model in one way. They either model what you want to be or what you don't want to be. You take from them and mold yourself as an individual. If I were to name one person though I'd probably say Irene Ayako Uchida. Her breakthroughs in Medicine are incredible and I aspire to one day accomplish what she has.

18. What is your favourite movie?

I have three actually. The Notebook, Donnie Darko, and American History X.

19. What is your favourite snack food?

Anything covered in chocolate will do.

20. Where's the best place to spend a rainy day in Riverview?

Blockbuster first, then home to watch the movie with friends.
