Spring is here - time to clean your car

Spring is finally here. Nature is coming back to life. It's time to start taking care of that nice car of yours once again.
No more cold hands. The sun is shining. The timing is perfect. Great, so where do you start?
The very first thing to do, even before you change your winter tires for more comfortable summer ones, is to thoroughly wash your vehicle. Of course, it would be nice to wash it all yourself.
However, it is best to start with a visit to a high pressure car wash to get rid of all the mud and the salt (if you live in an area where they salt the icy roads) that still cling to the most intrinsic parts of your car's body and frame.
Next, if you own a pressure washer, use it to meticulously clean the areas between the trims, inside the door frames, and under the fenders.
Be careful not to put too much pressure to prevent damaging any of the fine details on the vehicle.
The next step is to hand wash the car with a special mild soap.
After wiping it dry with a clean (or new) chamois cloth, ideally you should apply a good coat of wax to protect the paint finish.
Of course, if you don't have time (or know-how) to do it yourself, you can always take your car to a car care shop that specializes in exterior cleaning.
Many of these places will have a spring-cleaning special that you can take advantage of.
Now you are ready to tackle the car's interior. That, however, is another story.
