New art exhibit at the Moncton library

During the month of August, the Moncton Public Library will display a selection of art work by various artists in connection with Heron Bay Gallery of Shediac.
The intention of "Diversity" is to showcase a variety of artists and styles. The exhibit features art pieces by 20 different artists such as Amber Lounder, modern contemporary oils, Carol Malcolm, seascapes in acrylic and mixed media, Rene Collins with figurative florals in oils, and Sandi Komst, with impressionisms in a water media.
Heron Bay Gallery is well known for the various art styles one can find there when visiting and is sought out by local art lovers and outside visitors from across Canada and the United States.
Thanks to RBC Dominion Securities, the official sponsor of the gallery and monthly openings, there will be a vernissage for this exhibit on Aug. 5, from Noon to 1 p.m., during which the public will have a chance to meet some of the artists, visit the gallery and have a bite to eat.
These art works will be on display during the month of August and may be viewed by visiting the library at 644 Main Street during open hours: Monday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
